Come and celebrate the harvest of the hops in the heart of hop country. A day amongst the hop vines, following the harvest from start to finish, including the finished product BEER.
Ticket includes entry, one meal ticket and return bus trip. Bus picks up and leaves from The Free House,
95 Collingwood Street, Nelson. The bus trip takes 45mins each way.

Please be at The Free House, 95 Collingwood St, Nelson at 10:45am as the bus will leave at 11am.
The bus will then arrive at New Hoplands at midday, and will leave at 5pm to get you back to the Free House at 6pm.

From 6pm, The Free House have a selection of 6 Epic Beers on tap, as well as our must-try Gin and Tonic.
What to bring:
We are having a picnic style event, so please bring a blanket or lawn chair or something like it to sit on. There will be some seats there for those travelling from out of town.
There will be a list before you get on the bus, so no need to bring a print out confirmation ticket with you.
On the tour you will be able to walk amongst the hops, watch as they’re harvested, talk to the pickers, watch the hops be sent through the driers, finally baled and then of course get to try the finished product – BEER!
We have made a special NZ IPA for this occasion using Kohatu, Riwaka and Nelson Sauvin hops, all varieties of which are grown on this hop farm.
We have had a change of food – previously mentioned that we were going to have a mexican food truck on site, but instead we have Chief BBQ’er and Sales Manager at Epic, Sten Hansen rocking a BBQ. We will have vegetarian options also, but please let me know ASAP if you have any other dietary requirements.

Nothing brings out the thirst like a good fun run. Go for a personal best or simply enjoy the beautiful scenery while you run. Start/finish at McCashin’s Stoke Brewery and run or walk up the stunning Ngawhatu Valley, approximately 7km. Every finisher receives a Stoke Beer or Ginger Beer.
